2. Scope
This policy describes how we handle information when you use the Luvia mobile app and this website. It applies to users worldwide, including in the European Economic Area and India.
3. What we collect and why
3.1 Account details
Your email or phone number so you can sign in. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive your name and email from Google to authenticate you.
3.2 Face photos
Photos you capture in the app to analyse your look and generate hairstyle suggestions or try-on previews. We use them only to provide those features. We do not use them for advertising and we do not sell them.
3.3 Biometric and face-related data (summary)
When you use our face scan or AR-guided capture, the app may process facial geometry and related measurements. Full details—including TrueDepth API and ARKit on iOS—are in Section 6 below.
3.4 Saved styles and app activity
Hairstyles you save, styles you like, and basic usage information so we can show your history and improve reliability. Where possible we aggregate analytics so it is not tied to you personally.
3.5 Device details
Device model, operating system, and app version so we can support your phone and diagnose crashes.
3.6 Purchases
Purchase records from Google Play or the App Store when you buy Auras or other in-app items. Payment card details are handled only by the store—we never see your full card number.
4. What we do not do
- Sell your personal information or face data
- Use your face photos or TrueDepth/ARKit data for third-party advertising or profiling
- Use face data to identify you for law enforcement or government surveillance
- Share face photos with advertisers
5. Who may see your data
We share information only in limited cases:
- Service providers that help us run the app (for example cloud hosting or AI image processing) and only to deliver a feature you request, under contract
- Analytics in grouped form where we use measurement tools on this website (see our Cookie Policy)
- Legal requirements when we must comply with law, court order, or protect safety
6. Face Data and TrueDepth API Usage
Luviauses Apple's TrueDepth API, ARKit, and AI-powered facial analysis technologies to provide personalized hairstyle recommendations, face metric analysis, and virtual hairstyle try-on experiences.
Information We Access
When users use hairstyle analysis or AR try-on features, the app may access and process:
- Facial geometry and positioning information
- Face metrics and proportions
- User-uploaded or captured photos used for hairstyle generation and recommendations
This information is used solely to provide hairstyle analysis, hairstyle recommendations, and virtual hairstyle previews within the app.
Purpose of Processing
Face-related information is used only to:
- Analyze facial structure and proportions
- Generate hairstyle recommendations tailored to the user
- Enable virtual hairstyle try-on experiences
- Allow users to preview trending hairstyles
- Save hairstyle results and generated previews for future access within the user account
Data Storage and Retention
To allow users to access previous hairstyle analyses, recommendations, and generated hairstyle previews, certain user images and processed analysis results may be securely stored with the user's account.
We do not store raw TrueDepth sensor data, depth maps, or biometric authentication data generated by Apple's TrueDepth API.
Stored data is retained only as necessary to provide app functionality and improve user experience.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share facial data, user photos, or TrueDepth-related information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Any data processing is performed solely to provide the app's hairstyle analysis and virtual try-on functionality.
7. How long we keep other data
We keep account and usage data while your account is active. After deletion, we remove personal data within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep something longer.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, or object to certain processing. Contact support@luvia.style or use Delete Account in the app. We aim to respond within two business days.
9. Children
Luvia is not for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). Contact us if you believe a child provided data and we will delete it.
10. How we store and protect your data
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and protect data on our servers with access controls. No online service is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
11. International transfers
Your data may be processed in India and other countries where our providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards where required by law.
12. Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top will change.
